Hi, and welcome.
My name is Dr. Chelsea Aden, and I am a licensed clinical psychologist (PSY-32976) currently working in the South Bay of Los Angeles, California. I treat patients all across the state of California via telehealth.
My Clinical Approach tends to align most with Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, which is a type of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy aimed at increasing your psychological flexibility, accepting thoughts and feelings without judgment and fostering mindful awareness of the present moment. Specific techniques and approaches, however, vary for each client, as I believe each person deserves and needs to have a treatment approach tailored to their specific concerns and ways of healing. Having trained in a number of diverse settings (VAs, inpatient psychiatric and medical hospitals, community mental health clinics), I have a strong depth and breadth of intervention and assessment abilities that enable to me integrate and tailor treatment approaches for your unique needs.
Throughout all my work, I strive to create space for psychological unburdening and healing. Sometimes that involves acknowledging painful life experiences and identifying healthier, more adaptive ways of responding. Other times it involves looking at areas where you feel "stuck" and utilizing insight and empathy to work through the difficulty. Regardless of the strategy we use, I would be honored to work with you.
